The Caiman C2C3 Edition has been designed around modern progressive geometry but allowing a straight swap over from an Axial CAPRA (2ws or 4ws) to create a highly capable LCG bringing your centre of gravity down significantly by lowering the transmission and getting rid of that heavy cage. The direct Capra compatibility means the conversion takes minimal effort or knowledge. Everything transfers over, meaning all you need to sort is a body and body mounts of your choice.
The platform also allows custom builds with most axles and skids for other transmissions.
The chassis is designed around an 8 degree angled skid with levelled transmission to improve the driveline. Links are best equal front and rear, but again it can accommodate custom lengths. High clearance rear links will increase the benefits of the sloping skid further.
The shock positions are best with a high percentage of front droop, the rear is designed to be sloping not laydown like a hoopless rear or as upright as most LCG chassis. Dependant on wheelbase, particularly if stretched, you may find longer shocks are required if not using the stock Capra ones.
Chassis rails are cut from quality 3mm carbon fibre and slider/skid are printed from extremely strong CF PC filament.
Wheel base with stock Capra links is 12.5”
V2.1 Changes: Based on feedback we replaced bumper slots with holes giving greater rigidity and the ability to cut the rails shorter if desired.
